Focus              Using circles as a tool, a square may be constructed without resorting to measurement.

Tasks

1.      Measure the sides of the square. Are they all the same? Measure the angles of the square. Are they all the same?

2.      Surround the original square with squares of the same size. Describe your strategy and list the distances and angles associated with the translations.

3.      Do you think that the plane could be tiled with the square? Explain your reasoning.
